May Bank Holiday Monday saw scores of players and parents heading to Páirc Maigh Cuilinn. A day for the club’s young hurling and camogie players to come together, over one hundred local players between 2nd and 6th class, competed for the Fr FitzGerald Cup and the John Pagett Cup.
Eight teams in total contested on the day for the Fr. FitzGerald Cup (4th – 6th class) and for the John Pagett Cup (2nd to 3rd class). A memorable day was had by all players, organised by Cumann Iománaíochta Mhaigh Cuilinn and Cumann Camógaíochta Mhaigh Cuilinn.
The winning captain of the Fr. FitzGerald Cup was Cian Cullinane, with the cup presented by John O’Connor, President of Cumann Iománaíochta Mhaigh Cuilinn. The winning captain of the John Pagett Cup was Carmel Ava Merrigan, with the cup presented by Glen Pagett, grandson of John Pagett.
