An outstanding performance from our u16 hurlers this evening at Páirc Mhaigh Cuilinn, taking on Portumna in the A1 division Shield Semi Final.  A tightly contested game was played out with Maigh Cuilinn taking the win on a scoreline of 2-15 to 2-13. 

Every player gave their all in a great first half performance. A tight game up the break, Portumna edged ahead by a few points. Maigh Cuilinn started much the stronger side in the second half, racking up a number of scores without reply.

Two goals for Maigh Cuilinn were met with a rally from Portumna with two goals of their own in the last ten minutes. Maigh Cuilinn defended with incredible spirit and team work, working the ball down the field for a final point to win by two. 

Well done to all players and management and now the Shield final awaits!
