After an outstanding performance and at the end of a trilogy of finals, Athenry prevail on a scoreline of 1-9 to 3-6. 

Typical of this team, they competed and fought to the final whistle, giving everything they had. The standard of hurling this evening was amazing to witness. Led by their coaches and management the team has set a high bar for themselves and should be incredibly proud of all they achieved. 

Congrats to Athenry on three great games of hurling and on this evening's win. 

It speaks volumes about the Maigh Cuilinn performance and effort tonight that Dara Walsh was recognised with the Man of the Match award.
